I think I broke a toe a few days ago. It's still swollen and black and blue and painful. But there isn't much one can do for a broken toe, if it's broken.
I was out in the garage doing stuff in the dark a few days ago when it happened, hit my toe hard on something during forward motion, so it caught and yanked and twisted as I slammed against my car, which broke my fall. Quite painful. I've been using ice on it, but it's not a pretty thing to behold. I take Aleve too. And I curse occasionally if I forget and bend that foot when walking.
