I did not have any cats to take up to be fixed today. I meant to try to trap that last Millersburg business cat, but when I tried, he was way out near the highway, and there wasn't a chance. I will give them a trap and hope they'll do it.
I had contacted two people off craigslist advertising kittens and asked if they needed help getting the mom cats fixed. Both wanted help. I asked them to call to arrange it. Neither called.
I had also intended the last adult from the Lebanon area Hill people colony would be done today but they didn't call back either. They went camping, they said, and took the sickest of the three kittens with them. I am frustrated with them hanging on to those kittens. Doesn't sound like they're doing very well. Hard to tell. The sickest one is still open mouth breathing, she said. And yet they would not give them up to KATA, who offered. There is no sense to them suffering like that at all. They should go to a vet, get antibiotics, etc.
So anyhow, that female will be fixed Friday I guess. Now they're telling me there are two more adult feral orange males not yet fixed. How would I catch them in that tangle of junk and confusion? Probably impossible.
The rescue sisters are still trying to catch one remaining female from a Lebanon complex so I offered help getting her fixed if they catch her. They also referred a situation of five unfixed cats to me just outside Albany. I know the house, have been meaning to stop by it for some time but haven't. I am going there tomorrow evening, to hopefully contain all of the cats, five the man thinks they have.
The Scio old woman the other rescue woman is trying to help is kind of playing games with her, sounds like, refusing to hand over kittens she said she would. Then the kittens became ill and a couple died, then she wanted to hand them over. That's just nuts. So there are still adults there needing fixed. There are a lot of crazy people out there.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
