I went out and collected tomorrow's fixing load--all were from a rural location not too far from Cottonwood. They had six, but one male, a brown tabby, was already neutered. He wandered up with a collar and a tag with a Corvallis number. The tag said his name was Tiger. They called the number and his people said they'd be right over. However, they never came. Next time the rural Linn people called the number, to see why Tiger's people had not come for their cat, the number had been disconnected. Tiger's Corvallis people dumped him.
Anyhow, I have one male and four preggie females amongst the crowd. This family is poor, financially only. They have taken over 300 foster kids over the years and say they feel rich for doing so. Even so, they scraped up $50 to donate. I tried to refuse it, but they insisted. People who help kids in need are heroes.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
