I caught the preg young calico at Heatherdale. She's really tame, but basically lives as a stray. The woman who sort of owns her showed up, with a friend and I went to talk to them. The friend has a cat far more pregnant than the calico and wants her spayed. That woman is pregnant herself and already having contractions now and then. She doesn't want any kittens born to deal with, so that cat gets bumped ahead of the calico, for my one spay spot tomorrow. I'm hoping they can also squeeze in the calico but understand if they can't.
The woman with the very pregnant cat also has an unfixed adult male, who is from the female's second or third litter. I told her he'd have to wait.
UPDATE: I believe the reply I got was a craigslist whacko fake, a pretender.
So....I've had no real response from the man trapping cats on 34th street........ At least, I am assuming it is a landlord on 34th, because the mans' first name, on the message machine of the number on the ad, is the same first name as a landlord on 34th who tenants say has posted trapping notices and now live traps are set. So it is an assumption.
Well, at least I caught the calico and discovered a cat even more in need of immediate spay.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
