When I hear something like the plane crash in New York, I start running through my mind if I know anyone who lives in that area. Then I start thinking if I know anyone flying there. My brother always comes to mind because he travels all the time for work. But he's not traveling tonight. Yay.
I also think about the family who just lost their entire lives stability and possessions and maybe a family member also, in an instant. I cannot imagine what they are going through.
Sad news.
In a bizarre twist to the missing Corbett man, his wife, the one who had claimed she was thrown off a bridge, has been arrested for his murder and even abuse of a corpse. When I saw the mans' photo, I must admit I thought to myself, "He looks like an abuser." I don't know that that is the case, however. If a man murders his wife and I see a photo of the wife and she's kind of sarcastic or arrogant looking, I don't think that about her, that she was abusing him. I must be sexist in that sort of thinking. But abusing a corpse means there was a whole lot of anger going into that murder, so much so she couldn't apparently quit even after he was dead.
But maybe she burned the body or something, to try to hide what she did. That's abuse of a corpse too I think. Or cut it up to try to get rid of it.
The folks caretaking all the neighborhood strays, three of whom I trapped and who were fixed today, don't know the old woman on their street who told me she wanted to shoot the cats. They only know two neighbors. They took it in stride. I told them when people say that, sometimes they are really killing cats and sometimes they aren't. I tried to tell them they're not the only ones feeding strays, that I went door to door and that there were a lot of houses with bowls of cat food out. I told them about the rabbit I saw on one porch. She said they have a stray rabbit issue too, in the area, after someone with rabbits turned them loose.
She's a nice lady, a very kind person, that's for sure. She thought the little black teen was a male, not a female.
The peanut product recall is kind of disgusting. The interview with the one plant janitor was too graphic for me. I can't look at processed food without wanting to start retching and gagging now. They should limit the peanut plant worker interviews, or at least maybe save the ones with more colorful terse ex plant workers for late at night.
If this were China, those plant owners and managers would already have been tried and executed. What's holding things up?
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

People have run corpses through a chipper, but you have to figure out what to do with the chipper afterwards.
ReplyDeleteYes, too bad about the plane crash. I though Obama's words appropriate.
Running a corpse through a chipper, yikes, that must be a bloody thing, unless they wait until the blood coagulates sufficiently. Still,,,,,yuk! Right, then, what to do with the chipper. There's still no details being offered on the Corbett case. It is mysterious. I wonder if she was having an affair. Or he was.
