The black teen female, spayed today, has injuries consistent with being attacked by a dog. The family caring for the cats has several big dogs. Dogs kill more cats than coyotes do. It is a common cause of injury and death in cats, to be attacked by someone's dog. It is a horrible thing for a cat to go through, being torn apart by a dog. Some survive, like this little girl.
Two of the three cats I took in to be fixed, from that awful street, were girls. The other a big male.
I have to return them. I don't have anyplace for them to go. However, my involvement on that street is now over. They'll have to find some other way to get cats fixed on that street. I can't do it.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
