Munchy, Doc, Mums and Matildas

Mums, one of the Lebanon Shovel Killer Neighbor cats, sprawled out. She also awaits a home.
Mums playing in a basket that was meant for their toys. But they empty it, if I put the toys inside, and old River cat and toy horder Vision, will then take all the toys and hide them from the other cats, behind the frig. She's that way. I don't why.

This cat will never adequately overachieve. Sad.
Little Matilda, laid out on the floor. I do still have four lovely Lebanon Shovel Killer Christian Neighbor colony cats still here, awaiting homes and Little Matilda is one of them.
Little Matilda Big Eyes. She is a funny fun kitty!
Doc is one of the three kittens I found out off Gerig, in Dead Car field, nearly starved to death, last August. Doc is a darling wonderful boy, still waiting for a home, too.
Smiling Doc, on his back, playing.
Doc again.

Munchy still needs a home. He is an incredibly sweet little boy, who likes to sleep with me and play wildly. His eye has healed up nicely.

  5. oh my goodness Munchy looks almost like my Rook!!! I think I am getting old - or starting to because i am getting mixed up on your cats - I thought the Mathildas had been adopted???

I have a basket with cat toys that is always getting knocked over - i think thats half the fun of the toys....

  6. They were supposed to have been adopted but never were. Munchy was too, but the people never came over Tuesday, when they said they'd come. Turned out, that although they claimed to live in Philomath, they also had a place in Albany associated with the Philomath phone number. I looked them up online and drove by and it was a serious dump, so I guess I didn't care when they never came over when they had said they would, expected that they would be no shows.

  7. just as well....these cats deserve only the best - a home can be in a bad neighborhood yet still be a good home inside - but then again, the people would have come by for the cats if that were the case...

  8. I'm talking about the place was a total wreck, old couches sitting outside molding and rotting, trash bags spilling out, that kind of a dive, very good indicator that whomever lives inside let's the little things, and probably the big things also, just slide.

  9. oh my goodness jody - those poor skinny starving kittens - how in the world did they even eat? were they given anesthesia so you could move them to your safe place? were they taken to the vet first? they must have been so overwhelmed when food started showing up for them....how anyone could ever allow this to happen...i just started crying over those pictures...I would have scooped them up but i wouldn't have known what to do next - do you feed them some milk first? taken them to a vet first? what???

  10. I took them straight to the vet, the Neuterscooter. They had eaten so much in the trap the night before, that they vomited and vomited, not being used to food. They really did not stop eating everything in sight for a month. Buffy might have been the worst off. Little girls, whether human or animal, usually are more worried about others, and will give up some of theirs, if anything is available, to alleviate the suffering of family. Boys however have no guilt or empathy in taking everything. So Buffy was really in the worst shape of the three and still has some issues over what she went through. Too bad female hormones make us females way too generous sometimes to the point of it harming ourselves. I saw a documentary on the differences between males and females of the human species once.

Males, due to testosterone levels, it was stated, have almost no capacity for empathy ad adults, and even as infants in a cradle, will fixate more on objects than on a human face. The documentary showed all sorts of very interesting tests done on human subjects, male and female, volunteers, to demonstrate differences.
