Bedroom Floor Now Bare Plywood

The gunk is gone. Problem solved. Except the floor is now really uncleanable. But the gunk is gone and that is the main thing. The gunk is gone.

My brother zipped up to the rescue. He was here with his adult son before I got back with the cats who were fixed and had the particle board floor gone, too, before I even got back. They ripped out, stated it was fairly easy, easier than normal because it was attached with very few staples. Then they cut some plywood pieces to fit over the floorboards, stapled it in with a power stapler, carried the furniture back in and were gone again, like the wind, barely here. Quick. Impressive. They had all the right tools and know how. But I would have loved it if they'd stayed awhile. I'm a lonely soul.

The floor needs something over it, to protect it, but I can't deal with that right now. For now, it is bare plywood. I put some tarps down in the closet where the litterboxes go, to protect the wood from the inevitable litterbox type spills and mess.

Today I took my huge metal barrel to the metal recyclers plus a metal tray about three feet by two feet. They told me that scrap now sells for $.50 a ton so what I brought was worth nothing. I was too tired and stressed to argue and just gave it to them. But I thought to myself 'Really. Then I guess there is zero incentive for people to bring in scrap now. That price must really put a dent in your business.' That's what I thought to myself, along with thinking 'yeah right, you're scamming me because you don't want to weigh this or write a receipt'.

At least it's gone from my backyard.

So anyhow, the gunk is gone and I'm very glad. Nine cats got fixed today. Six of the nine were from the trailer colony and her son is going to donate and I'm not going to call it the ungrateful woman colony anymore. I like her and I'm just worn out is all and I do like trapping cats and I wish the money would come again, for spay/neuter, lots of it, so I would have a future to keep doing this.
