I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

Off to Work Again
I'm off to work again. I will be returning the Talbot kitten, then trapping for tomorrow's fixing spots, probably at Hate Thy Neighbor and BS.
Above, are photos of the wonderful friendly and loving Maryann, with Scottie. I thought I had homes lined up not only for Scottie and Meeko, but also Maryann, Micah and Aces. The homes for Micah and Aces may still come through. The ones for Maryann, Meeko and Scottie appear to have fallen through. I haven't heard from my brother about how Pixie is doing. This worries me somewhat. I left two messages yesterday and heard not a word back. I went to pick up my trap, where I'd left it, with some folks on 34th street, with the big gray stray male, and to check on him. Nobody answered the door. I found the trap out back. This disappointed me somewhat also.
The manager of the apartment complex across the street from them had told me once if I could ever catch that cat and get him fixed, one of her tenants was very interested in adopting him. He's been roaming over there since he was young, apparently abandoned nearby. Some of the cat loving tenants there also have fed him and have been concerned about him.
He's been in a live trap before. The military guy at the end of the street, who does not like cats, has trapped him twice, he told me once, although he releases cats he traps. This sweet male also tries to get into cars at the Circle K. They have asked me twice to take him away, but I have had no place for him. Anyhow, at least now he is neutered. It's a miracle he hasn't been hitting darting across that busy street. At some point, his luck will run out.
I can't believe at my age that I survived the 22 hour day I put in beginning when I got up Friday morning at 4:00 a.m. to prepare to leave at 4:45 a.m., with the Neuterscooter vet, to travel to the North Bend clinic, with six kittens no less. I got home finally Saturday morning at 2:30 a.m.
I only did one thing yesterday. I went and bought cat food in Salem. Before going up and after going up, all I did was sleep. I fell asleep on the couch twice, in the morning and in the afternoon. I moved off the couch to my bed last night around 6:00 p.m. and slept until 7:00 a.m. this morning. I feel quite rested, although my back is a bit sore.
Rounding up four or five cats for tomorrow should not be a problem.
