Five cats were fixed today. All five were from Jefferson.
All five were girls. The people who feed them will pick them up, which is nice. One is an old sick female, whom, they say, has two litters every year, and the kittens all die. She has a chronic URI, likely herpes. She was abandoned by someone. She has an old brother too, whom I will be taking in on Friday, hopefully along with the other two strays they feed, no shows this a.m.
The old "Too Many Litters" female, another one, this time from Jefferson, abandoned by somebody.
Besides the older female, I took in four teens. Their mom, also a stray in the area, was a no show. Hopefully, she will show up tomorrow and can be fixed on Friday.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
