Redefining

My adoption website is going to be terminated. I have already made the request to petfinder. I also told the city that I would be scaling down, and eventually quitting completely, since I have some of the city grant money left, through Poppa, which likely will still be administered through Poppa for Albany cats. People will just have to take their own cats in. I don't know yet how that will work, but it's not my problem. I will be leaving Albany as soon as I can find somewhere else to move. Don't worry Jeanne, that will be long after your visit ends!!!!!! I don't move that fast. Not anymore.

  1. so does this mean there's no point in continuing to support to good search toolbar thingy for poppa? i had been making my amazon purchases thru that so the money would be there to help you with the cats. thats not very altruistic of me, but its true. I guess i'll have to make plans for a second visit then, too - since i'll have to see your new place once you move...

  2. You have to count me in one of these trips. I just need to EARN some before I can SPEND some. I have always wanted to see the Northwest. I've been reading a couple authors works from that area and after reading your blogs I almost feel like I know the area when I read the novels.

    Take care,
    Judith

  3. Judith, come! I saw that Jet Blue was having an all you can travel month for $600, Sept 8 to Oct 8. I wanted to do it, but I don't have the money currently for the flight. Then, you end up at an airport somewhere, and you have to have cab fares and pay for a place to stay, so it's not as simple as having $600, but something like that makes me dream.

  4. Jody-not a good time or budget for me either, right now. But I like your dream. My main motto is "never stop dreaming." If people stop dreaming then they have lost all their hope and we know how sad the world is without hope.
I've started taking a tax course-my first class, outside Lamaze, in over 20 years! I'm tied up through this year but I'll keep my sights set on the near future.

    Take care,
    Judith

  5. I just had to leave you a message letting you know how much I admire your efforts. You are simply amazing! I wish I had found your blog before now. I scrolled through several months of your stories and photos and was blown away. I am a total cat lady and TNR in Lexington, KY....used to do it in Atlanta before i moved here. I can completely appreciate the hard work, money, emotion, frustration, etc. that you feel. The number of cats i have TNRed or rescued pales in comparison to you. I can't even imagine how much time and effort you have invested over the years. I think you are a hero and want to thank you for caring SO much. I just can't express my gratitude enough for what you have done for countless cats and kittens. The world needs more people like you.
    Many purrs and kindest wishes,
    Carrie the SnipPet Girl
